END USER BUSINESS IMPACTS LIKELY
If details of this message are not well understood and end customer organizations do not take action to review their network security configurations and client versions then these end customer organizations have a medium level of risk of experiencing business impact due to inaction.
CounterPath will be migrating the license server and portal that supports your Bria service as part of a staged rollout. As long as customers are using updated versions of our Bria apps and have not previously had to add our License Server IPs to pass traffic through their firewalls, this migration should be seamless.
Customers that have previously restricted their firewalls to specific CounterPath License Server IPs mustupdate their allowlists to include the full table of current and new IPs. In addition, Customers should update to the latest versions of the Bria apps if they've not already done so. With these aforementioned steps in place, during the migration, Bria clients will continue to operate without disruption. The License Portal will not be available to Customer admins during the migration dates and times specified below.
Description
We will be updating the license servers and portal and migrating the servers to a new datacenter. Our license server is a background service that some Bria clients contact for license verification purposes. Similarly, the license portal is used by some customers in viewing or managing the licenses and their allocation to devices. As part of this migration, some server IPs will be changing and as such we ask that customers with strict outbound firewall restrictions ensure that they've updated their network configuration to allow Bria clients to continue to reach the specified addresses below:
216.93.246.170 (current)
69.90.51.170 (current)
40.78.10.175 (current)
52.183.45.217 (new additional)
52.250.216.127 (new additional)
198.204.63.15 (new additional)
173.244.45.15 (new additional)
