Bria 5 and Citrix

We

are running Xenapp 7.6 and having problems installing bria 5

Initial

issues are:-

  1. While the download of Bria has a an installation program all it

seems to do is copy an exe file to a folder in the users profile

(appdata\local\Counterpath\bria5), and modify some registry settings for the

logged in user, which means it would have to be installed for each user who

needed it. It may also be creating modifying many other registry settings (GUID

type) that are less obvious to see.

  2. Our standard Citrix setup prevents users from installing

software. We would have to lower our standard security settings to allow this

to happen on a per user basis – not ideal.

  3. The software should be installable by an admin so that it only

requires one installation per Xenapp server. We can then publish the app only

to users who need/are licenced to use it.

Hello Dennis,

Unfortunately, Bria 5 is not designed to work in a virtual environment (it can still work) and we don't provide any support in that case. Bria, as per the current configuration, is supposed to be installed by every user individually but the next update would let the admin install it so every user can access it through their user domain on a single installation.

Hi Edwin,

We currently don't have any version of Bria that is compatible in the virtual environment. I'm sorry about that. Let me know if you have any questions.

Cheers,
