Cannot call deskphone

Hi,

I have Bria setup on a few smartphones and can call between them fine. But if i try to call a deskphone(not a VoiP phone), it goes through but after answering there is no audio.

I have tried different DTMF settings and server and application settings.

I have also captured some network packet captures if required.

Hello Phillip,

When you say there's no audio, is it no audio both ways, or just for one side? And can you please confirm what version of Bria you're running?

Hi Brian,

They are running on the latest version - v3.9.2 and a couple on v3.9.1.

They are Samsung S5s. I have also tried on an S4 as well.

Hi Phill,

My guess is that it's a codec mismatch. I'd like you to try going into Settings > Advanced Settings > Audio Codecs (either mobile or wifi, depending on which network you're using) and try enabling each codec one at a time and making a test call with each one. Different codecs will have different results, and you can see if one of them resolves the lack of audio. I recommend starting with G711u, as it is very widely supported.
