Hello Suarez,

Please go to Bria's Settings -> Accounts -> sip account (disable sip account to make changes) -> Account advanced ->DTMF Type. Try to enable every option and make a call.

Is it when you're on a call and the answering machine asks to enter the number for more options?

Additionally, I'd like you to please send me a log report to further diagnose this issue. Please follow the steps below:

Go to Bria's Settings > Advanced Settings. Scroll down to Application Logging. Verbose Logging should be turned ON.

Reproduce the problem.

Go to Settings > Advanced Settings and scroll down to Application Logging. Tap Send Log. Once the logfile has been uploaded, you will see a Sending Log Success notification that has a Reference #.

If you're working with us online, simply tell us the Ref. #.

If sending the file fails, check your Wi-Fi and/or cellular data connectivity.

In the log, I could only see a BYE packet when the call ended. Please resend the log after creating the issue.

Please send me a wireshark trace from Bria, for the issue. You can learn how to use wireshark here if it's not already familiar to you:

Once you have started doing a trace, please replicate the problem. When you have the .pcap or .pcapng file, please zip it (as this forum will not accept .pcap or .pcapng files directly) and then attach it here for me to review. I have moved this thread private to maintain the privacy of any information in the trace. As such it will be visible only by you and CounterPath representatives.

I checked the log and Bria is sending the DTMF tone successfully when prompted by you. Please see a couple of lines from your Bria log, below:


2017-08-12 10:45:42.213 Debug CallsApiImpl_BackThread CallManager sendDtmf for callid 1 DTMF string = 8


2017-08-12 10:45:43.998 Debug CallsApiImpl_BackThread CallManager sendDtmf for callid 1 DTMF string = 5


Did you try the "Inband" option in DTMF type? If none of the options (RFC 2833, SIP Info, or Inband) are working then please contact your voip provider and check with them which DTMF method is their server configured to. It looks like the server is not accepting the input that Bria sends.
