Incoming call with native integration with iPhone and Apple Watch

Hi

I'm using Bria in an iPhone 6s and it works great both for incoming and outgoing callsm but I've noted a small glitch:

When receiving regular cellular calls while wearing an Apple Watch, the watch rings first and the iPhone stays silent until I pick it up.

When receiving a SIP call via Bria's native integration, the iphone rings first, and the watch doesn't ring at all. Only if I miss a call the watch shows an Missed Call push alert.

Maybe the problem is in iOS, but it would be great if you can look into it.

Hello Carlos,

This might be the expected behavior within iOS, but I'll double check with engineering. Could you please send a log of an incoming call while your Apple Watch is paired? Instructions for sending a log can be found here: https://support.counterpath.com/knowledge-base/article/how-do-i-send-a-log-to-support-from-my-iphoneipad

Hi Carlos,

I've got confirmation from engineering; this is expected behavior in iOS. Currently there isn't a great deal of support for third party apps for Apple Watches, so we're very limited in what we can do. Sending an alert when a call is missed is likely as much leeway as Bria has, while native phone calls can work differently since they're already built into the OS. Let me know if you have any other questions.
