I saw that you support PUSH notification for Stretto.
Any plan in the near future, that Bria client will also get the PUSH notification support?
To be honest, I'm not sure if our engineers and Product Management team are planning to deploy push notifications for both Android and iOS retail client in near future or not. I'd encourage you to create an idea topic in this forum (our engineers consistently look for new ideas from users) and if more users support this idea our engineers may include this feature in future but no promises yet on this end.
Push is a very important feature to have. By not having this feature Bria becomes a dinosaur for smart phones. You are missing the mark and not keeping up with technology. I purchased Bria for my iPhone 7 plus, very disappointed that I can not receive calls while the app is closed. If you leave the app open to receive calls your battery will drain quickly. I purchased Groundwire by Acrobits and it works wonderful. Get with the program Bria, I can not recommend the app with my clients until you add the push feature
Benefits of Pus
1. receive calls when the app is closed
2. save on battery life
I do understand that there are some benefits with push notifications but due to some security concerns probably we have still not included the push feature for retail client. Our engineers are fully aware of this concern from customers but I can't assure you if and when would this feature be available. Push is though available in Bria Stretto, another product of ours which is provisioning based client, about which you can further learn from the link below:
Recently released a new version for the iPhone BRIA with support for PUSH. In the past, this is a beta version. The service is supported only by the UDP protocol.
I wanted to know if the support is planned for TLC?
Support for TCP and TLS connections is planned, and coming soon.
There were two updates that contained updates for PUSH. I wanted to know if PUSH support for TLS would be flowing?
We still are working on the implementation of TCP/TLS with few hiccups need to be resolved. We hope to push the support soon. You can always go to the following link and check the release notes to verify if the future Bria mobile update(s) include the TCP/TLS or not.
Hi Leon and Zhabrov,
We have finally been able to implement TCP/TLS for push. If interested we can invite you to test our beta Bria client. We would require your email, full name, and the OS type, i.e, android or iOS. You can create a new ticket and send us the details if you don't want to share your email in public. Provide a reference to this topic.
My name is Yuri Zhabrov. My mailbox firstname.lastname@example.org The iphone 6 device (iOS).
Hi Zhabrov and Gabil,
You have been added to our beta group. You would receive an email via test flight to download and install the client. Please keep testing and let us know if you face any issue. Please create a new ticket if you have any issue with this functionality. It would be convenient and easy for us to respond back and provide resolution.
Thanks for your time.
You can also add one more account to the test group.
Mailbox email@example.com. It is very convenient to test on two devices. The iphone 10 device (iOS)
I'm looking forward to very linking to beta testing.
I wanted to know when to appear "push tls" in the official release?
